Templestowe RSL is a great place to hold a get together of all kinds. With two spacious areas to choose from, our venue is ideal for your next party.

Our front room is perfect for functions of 50-150 people cocktail style, including outdoor decking with a superb outlook over nearby ranges. The back room is magnificent for smaller, more intimate gatherings. The back room comfortably holds between 30-50 people.

Whether it be a 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, engagement party, celebrations of life/bereavements, club meeting or just a small private gathering, the Templestowe RSL function rooms offer the perfect facilities. View our gallery for more photos.

Please make sure when using your own equipment that everything is compatible with our venues connections prior to your function. This includes ipods, iphones, android and smart phones, lap tops, usbs, and home made CDs and DVDs. If you are using an apple computer, please bring your own connections.

You may consider one of the above options, all of which are only available for hire online. There are many companies to choose from and prices are very competitive.

How long do I have the room?

This is an often asked question. If you book a function on a Sunday afternoon or a week day, the duration of the function will be agreed upon by both parties.

 

A Saturday night function will be booked between 7pm and midnight. You then have 1 hour to remove all of your belongings, decorations and presents. The room must be restored back to its original state with the exception of any tables and chairs which can be left out in the room for ease of cleaning the floor area.

Any music equipment hired can remain on premises as per arranged agreement with hire company.

Templestowe RSL will take no responsibility for valuable items in your care.

Decorations

You may decorate the rooms however you like, however nothing may be fixed to the walls. Any decorations must be fixed to the windows using only blu-tac.

 

No confetti or little metallic numbers. decorations are allowed.

 

You may have access to decorate after 2pm on the Saturday of your function.

Minimum spend

Monday – Thursday:

  • $100/hr (minimum 2hrs)
  • No minimum number of people required

Saturday:

  • Minimum 50 people
  • $1200 minimum bar tab
  • $330 room hire
  • 21st birthdays need to pay a bond

Sunday 12-5pm:

  • Minimum of 40 people
  • $1200 minimum bar tab
  • $330 room hire

Sunday 5-10pm:

  • Minimum of 40 people
  • $1500 minimum bar tab
  • $440 room hire

Please note that one security guard is required per 80 people, for any function. Guards are hired for a minimum of five hours, at $250/guard, and must be hired through the RSL.

Deposit and bond

Your deposit is your room booking fee. It must be paid upon confirmation of your booking.

Payment

Your payment can be made by cash or eftpos. We don’t take cheques sorry.

21st birthdays

In the case of a 21st birthday, a $500 bond must also be paid 7 days prior to the date of your function.

One security person per 80 people is mandatory and will be provided by the Templestowe RSL at the rate of $250 per security guard for a minimum of five hours. In order to comply with our liquor license, all security person/s must be provided by Templestowe RSL.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation of your function, 4 weeks notice must be given. A cancellation after this time will result in the forfeiture of any deposits or down payments already received.
